Expert

Prof. Sonja Filiposka is a full professor at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, and Head of the University Open Science Centre. Her work sits at the intersection of digital research infrastructures, research data management, artificial intelligence, and institutional transformation towards more open, FAIR, and responsible research practices.

She has extensive experience in EU-supported initiatives related to Open Science and the European Open Science Cloud, including Skills4EOSC, NI4OS-Europe, EOSC Future, and EOSC Beyond. Through these projects, she has contributed to the development of policies, training frameworks, competence-building activities, and practical services that help research communities adopt and sustain new ways of working.

Through the Open Science Centre, she leads the development of institutional support for researchers, including guidance, training, and services for research data management, FAIR implementation, and responsible use of emerging digital and AI-enabled tools. Combining academic expertise with hands-on implementation experience, she contributes to building the skills, structures, and services needed for the next generation of data stewardship and Open Science practice.
